Fiverr withdrawal fees in 2026: PayPal, Payoneer or bank transfer? What Fiverr charges per withdrawal, how long the clearing period lasts, the minimums, and the conversion cost PayPal or Payoneer adds afterwards.

Fiverr withdrawal fees per transfer: PayPal $0, bank transfer via Payoneer $1 to $3, Payoneer Account $3, Fiverr Revenue Card discontinued; earnings clear 14 days after an order completes

Fiverr has three withdrawal methods you can still sign up for. PayPal costs nothing on Fiverr's side and usually arrives immediately. A Payoneer Account costs $3 per withdrawal and arrives within two business days. Bank transfer via Payoneer costs $1 to $3 and takes one to three business days in local currency, or five to seven for a USD wire. Whichever you choose, earnings first sit in a 14-day clearing period after the order completes (7 days for some higher-level sellers), and each withdrawal is capped at $5,000. What really separates the options is the next step: the conversion fee PayPal or Payoneer charges to turn dollars into your local currency.

01Fiverr withdrawal methods: fees, minimums and timing

These figures come from Fiverr's help center article on withdrawals, updated in July 2026. You add a withdrawal method on the My business › Earnings page; a payment method added on the Billing and Payments page can't be used to withdraw.

Fiverr Revenue Card$1 to $3$30Up to 2 business daysDiscontinued in December 2022; existing cardholders only

For bank transfer via Payoneer, Fiverr's two help articles don't agree. The main withdrawals article lists $1 per withdrawal; the Payoneer setup article splits it into $3 for local currency and $1 for a USD wire. If you withdraw in local currency, plan on $3.

Both PayPal and Payoneer depend on your country. PayPal withdrawals only work where PayPal supports receiving payments, and in some countries where a personal account can't receive, a business account may; Payoneer coverage also varies, so check with them before you set it up.

02When you can withdraw: the 14-day clearing period and Early Payout

After an order completes, the money goes into a clearing period. Fiverr says revenue becomes available 14 days after the order completes, or 7 days for Seller Plus, Top Rated and Pro freelancers.

"Completed" has its own clock. After you deliver, the client has three days to accept, request a revision or extend the review period; if they do nothing, the order is marked complete automatically after three days. Clients can extend review by up to five days at a time, more than once. So in the normal case, delivery to withdrawable money is three days plus fourteen, about two and a half weeks.

If you need the money sooner, Top Rated freelancers and Seller Plus Premium members can use Early Payout. An Early Payout button appears next to eligible orders in the Activity table on your Earnings page, and each use costs 1% of the clearing amount, counted on your earnings rather than the full order. Hourly orders aren't eligible. Early Payout only ends the clearing period early; you still make a normal withdrawal afterwards.

03Waiting periods and limits before you withdraw

  • 24 hours after your first withdrawal.
  • 24 hours after adding or changing a withdrawal method.
  • 48 hours after updating your verified phone number. Customer Support can't bypass these waits.
  • Up to $5,000 per withdrawal; split larger amounts into several, each charged its own fee.
  • A withdrawal method can be linked to one Fiverr account only. Using the same PayPal or Payoneer on several accounts can get those accounts disabled.
  • Only one Payoneer method can be active at a time (bank transfer, Payoneer Account or Revenue Card), and the currency you pick is permanent once saved; to change it, remove the method and add it again.
  • Only earnings from orders you completed can be withdrawn. Refunds you received as a buyer go to your Fiverr Balance, which can be refunded to the original payment method or spent on orders, but not withdrawn.

Add your withdrawal method before your first order, and don't leave the first withdrawal until the day you need the money.

04Fiverr charges the withdrawal fee; PayPal and Payoneer handle conversion

Fiverr's help center puts it plainly: it sends the full amount you requested, and if less arrives, the difference comes from conversion rates or fees at your withdrawal provider. The withdrawal fee is only the first layer; converting to local currency is the second.

  • PayPal: Fiverr charges nothing, but PayPal may convert at its own rate and charge fees, set by your region's PayPal fee page. Our PayPal take-home calculator gives an estimate for your amount.
  • Bank transfer via Payoneer: Fiverr's Payoneer article says a currency conversion rate applies for local-currency transfers. Neither Fiverr nor Payoneer publishes how far that rate sits from mid-market, so measure it on a real withdrawal.
  • Payoneer balance first: the money stays with Payoneer, and Payoneer charges its own fee when you later withdraw it to a bank.
Payoneer pricing page, Receive payments to your Payoneer account: free from another Payoneer balance, varies by marketplace for marketplaces and integrated platforms, 1% (minimum 1 USD) via a receiving account not in your local currency
The receiving fees section of Payoneer's pricing page. The "From marketplaces and integrated platforms" row says the fee varies by marketplace, so what applies to money from a platform like Fiverr depends on that platform's arrangement with Payoneer; Fiverr's help center lists $3 per withdrawal to a Payoneer Account. Captured 2026-10.

On the same pricing page, withdrawing from a Payoneer balance to a bank in the same country and currency, such as USA to USA, costs $1.50; with currency conversion, such as USD to a euro account, it costs 1.2% to 4%, and some countries have a minimum fee of up to $20. If your account receives less than $6,000 in any 12 consecutive months, there is also a $29.95 annual fee. The Fees page in your own Payoneer account shows the exact figures.

To measure your conversion cost: note the dollars withdrawn and subtract the withdrawal fee; when it lands, note the local amount credited; divide the local amount by (dollars withdrawn − fee) to get the rate you actually received, and compare it with that day's mid-market rate. The percentage gap is the route's conversion cost.

05Withdrawing $1,000: what each route costs

This table shows the method only. The 3% PayPal conversion cost and the 1.5% cost on a local-currency transfer via Payoneer are assumptions; the 1.2% to 4% for withdrawing from a Payoneer balance comes from Payoneer's pricing page. Plug in what you measure for your own currency.

Two rules follow. Withdrawal fees are per transfer, so splitting the same money into more withdrawals costs more; save up and withdraw together, but stay under the $5,000 cap. Percentage conversion costs grow with the amount, so the bigger the withdrawal, the more it's worth comparing the rate on each route.

06Which withdrawal method fits your situation

  • PayPal works where you live, and the amount is small or urgent: PayPal is fastest and free on Fiverr's side. The downsides are a conversion fee that can be high and the risk of holds; if one happens, see what to do when PayPal freezes funds.
  • You want local currency straight into your bank: choose bank transfer via Payoneer. It lands in one to three business days at Payoneer's rate; measure it once to see whether it's worth it.
  • You want to keep dollars for overseas software or suppliers: choose a Payoneer Account and leave the money in your Payoneer balance. If you receive under $6,000 a year, count the $29.95 annual fee.
  • You have a bank account that takes USD wires, and you withdraw close to $5,000 at a time: a USD wire costs Fiverr's $1 but takes five to seven business days, and intermediary or receiving banks may take a cut, so ask your bank first.

Keep a second method ready. If one stops working, your Fiverr withdrawals stall; it's the same logic as not keeping all your income in one channel. Since only one Payoneer method can be active, the usual pair is PayPal plus one Payoneer method.

07Failed withdrawal, no email, or less arrived than expected

  1. No withdrawal confirmation email: delete older withdrawal emails and check spam; email on a private company domain may filter more strictly, so a public address such as Gmail can help.
  2. The withdrawal failed: the money stays in your Fiverr account. For PayPal, check that the account is verified and can receive payments in your country, then try again; for Payoneer, remove the method and add it again.
  3. Less arrived than you withdrew: Fiverr sends the full amount; the difference is PayPal's or Payoneer's conversion and fees. If the gap looks larger than expected, Fiverr asks you to contact Customer Support so it can review the withdrawal.
  4. It went to the wrong account: processed withdrawals can't be cancelled or reversed; contact the provider that received it.
  5. It hasn't arrived after the expected time: bank transfer via Payoneer takes one to seven business days depending on currency; after that, contact Fiverr Customer Support with the withdrawal details.

If your account is permanently disabled, Fiverr emails a one-time withdrawal link 90 days after the account was disabled; a balance below the minimum for your method can't be withdrawn.

08Build the 20% service fee into your price first

Before withdrawal and conversion fees, there's a bigger cut: Fiverr's help center says that for every completed order you earn 80% of the purchase amount, including Gig Extras and tips. The platform takes 20% first, and only what's left goes through withdrawal and conversion.

To clear $100 on an order, price it at 100 ÷ 0.8 = $125, then allow a few more percent for withdrawal and conversion. Our quote gross-up calculator does the sum; for setting the rate itself, see the day-rate and project pricing section of how to set your freelance hourly rate.

09FAQ

Does Fiverr charge a fee to withdraw to PayPal?

No, Fiverr charges nothing for PayPal withdrawals. Money usually arrives immediately and at most within 24 hours, with a $1 minimum. PayPal may charge its own conversion fees depending on your region. You have to set PayPal up and make the first withdrawal on desktop, and the PayPal account must be verified.

How long does a Fiverr withdrawal to Payoneer take, and what does it cost?

To your Payoneer balance: $3 per withdrawal, $10 minimum, up to two business days. Bank transfer via Payoneer to your local bank: one to three business days in local currency or five to seven for a USD wire, $20 minimum, $1 to $3 per withdrawal. If money sits in your Payoneer balance first, Payoneer charges its own fee when you withdraw it to a bank.

Why does Fiverr hold my money for 14 days?

Earnings go through a clearing period after an order completes: 14 days for most freelancers, 7 days for Seller Plus, Top Rated and Pro freelancers. Top Rated freelancers and Seller Plus Premium members can use Early Payout for 1% of the clearing amount; hourly orders are not eligible.

What is the maximum I can withdraw from Fiverr at once?

Up to $5,000 per withdrawal. For larger amounts, make several withdrawals; each one is charged the fee for the method you pick. Minimums depend on the method: $1 for PayPal, $10 for a Payoneer Account, $20 for bank transfer via Payoneer.

Can I cancel or reverse a Fiverr withdrawal?

No. Once a withdrawal is processed it can't be cancelled or reversed; if it went to the wrong account, contact the provider that received it (PayPal or Payoneer). If a withdrawal fails, the money stays in your Fiverr account and you can withdraw it again.
